Hawaii is known to be one of the more expensive vacation destinations, but you can still find great Hawaii travel deals on cruises. Just about all of the popular cruise lines have ports of call in Hawaii, so the cruises aren’t difficult to find. You just might need to look a little bit harder for the kinds of Hawaii travel deals you want.
Whether you want to explore all eight of the islands of Hawaii or hop from Hawaii to the Bahamas or Alaska, there is a cruise line to meet your vacation needs. Yes, you can spend part of your vacation in the hot Caribbean air, and then the other part of your vacation in the cool presence of the icebergs and the whales en route to Alaska. And you can do it all for a great deal, too.
The reason that travel to Hawaii is so expensive is not just because it is one of the most beautiful places in the world to visit, or that Hawaii has a cost of living up to 60% higher than the average cost of living in the United States, but Hawaii happens to be the world’s most remote island chain. The nearest land to the Hawaiian Islands is more than 2,000 miles away. So you won’t be able to catch a three day cruise to Hawaii. You should plan on a minimum of seven to fourteen when searching for Hawaii travel deals.
If you want to spend more time at land and less at sea, you could take advantage of just one leg of a Hawaii cruise and then fly home, or vice versa (fly there and cruise home). This way you can decide how long you want to spend on the islands. There really is so much to see and do in Hawaii that just one cruise isn’t usually enough, unless you take a cruise that stops at each island, or at least at half of them. Once you decide on which of the Hawaii travel deals to take advantage of, you will need to decide what to do while you are in Hawaii. It is an absolute must, it may even be a law in Hawaii and if it’s not, it should be, that you attend a luau and/or climb a volcano. Hawaii does have the only constantly active volcano in the United States, and you can be up close and personal with it. Not very many people can say that.
